Western Marine Shipyard (Hull WMShL-131) received an order for a 54-meter offshore patrol vessel from JGH Marine A/S, Denmark, for the Ministry of Fisheries, Livestock, and Agriculture (State Department of Fisheries), Kenya. This project was completed and delivered in 2017, and was commissioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta at Mombasa Port. Later, OPV Doria was awarded as the “best large patrol boat of the year” in 2017, by Baird Maritime, Australia.
